Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was our second time here. We were very happy with the food and the friendly, helpful service provided. Thereβs a lot on the menu that I want to try. This time we ordered the lamb biryani, butter naan, potato samosas, paneer tikka masala, rose sharbat (soda), and mango ice cream. All delicious. The place is clean and nicely decorated. They also have outdoor seating but, itβs been too hot to eat outside. Itβs one block away from the kidβs museum, across from City Market, and the entrance is on Martin street. Thereβs a parking garage next to it where you can park for free for 1 hour if you get Amrut staff to validate parking.

The mushroom Manchurian was delicious, 9/10, good portion. When the lamb shank came out, it was tough on the outside and frozen cold next to the bone inside. They must have rushed it somehow since they were trying to close (I had asked whether it was ok to come in an hour before closing, they ushered me in), but could have just informed me it was too late to order it. The waiter insisted I get something else from the menu, even though I was full enough and was trying to leave. He pressured me to get some lamb curry, which I finally agreed to. It was decent, nothing special especially at that price pointβ¦ The big issue came with the check: I was charged full price for the mushroom and the lamb, no discount or anything was offered. Why didnβt they just let me leave, instead of acting like they were being courteous by feeding me? Terrible customer service, wonβt be back.

I was at Amrut a little while back, but hadnβt had time to really make a full review on how great the experience was. I am lucky to have gotten to meet the owners who are coming around and asking customers how the food was. The food was incredible. Authentic, tasty, and definitely spicy! The variety of food that was offered is great. I was there with a vegan friend and they were able to find options easily. portions are *technically* expensive but this place is in the heart of downtown and they give you enough food to eat for three! Definitely worth it. Will be back!! Go try it. You wonβt regret it.

Beautiful Restaurant. The waiter inside was very kind and helpful us figure out what to order. She didn't like spicy foods, and I have a lactose intolerant issue. He recommend butter chicken for her and this other chicken for myself. We also ordered samosas. Some of the best I have ever had. They weren't spicy like others. The two sauces came with it, the mint one she loved. The other bit more spicy. I loved that one. One of the best India restaurant I have been to. Recommend this place in a heart beat.

I've seen and heard of Amrut, but hadn't marked it on my list or visited yet. I made a reservation for Sunday after a show at Martin Marietta. It's right by Moore Square parking deck which is convenient. We were there early so no issues with searing. They also have a nice outdoor area but it was raining outside. We were given a complimentary drink shot you put in a pastry and drink. It was a little spicy with other interesting but good flavors. We got Samosas and Chili Chicken to start. Both were excellent. The garlic cheese naan was super and cheeay. The chicken had good spice and the Samosas were fresh with mint and Tamarind chutney. We got Chicken Vindaloo extra spicey and the lamb Biryani. Both were spicy with great flavor and my Biryani had fabulous aromas. Everything was delicious and the service fantastic. Great experience.
